The EU-Latin America Partnership on Raw Materials project is hosting a yearly webinar series for Mineral Development Network Platform (MDNP) members*. Next 26 April 2021 from 4:00pm – 5:30pm CEST  will take place a Webinar on Management of Mining Environmental Liabilities

Mining Environmental Liabilities (MEL) if not properly managed, may produce an impact on the health and safety of people and the environment. In this webinar, experts will discuss management processes for MEL, addressing approaches on how to map, assess, reprocess and remediate MEL in order to achieve a sustainable mining respectful with the environment and the socio-economic development of local communities.

*The eligibility criteria to become a member of the MDNP is to be legally based in an EU Member State or in one of the following Latin American countries Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and to be active in the fields relevant for the non-energy extractive industry sector. Governmental entities from other Latin American countries are also eligible as members of the MDNP.
