BATT4EU is a Co-programmed Partnership established under Horizon Europe, the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation of the European Union. BATT4EU is a collaboration of the European Commission and European battery R&I stakeholders, united in BEPA.

Last 12th September, BATT4EU osted a webinar regarding the innovation and large-scale battery production within Europe. With a turnout of 274 attendees and the participation of 3 experts from Verkor, ACC and FAAM which are operating giga-factories designed to produce batteries in EU. 

The discussion provided insights on the main challenges of large-scale battery production, the areas where innovation can make a difference and how the European Union’s policy in support of the battery innovation can practically find its way to the Giga factories.
