Ecomondo is the reference event in Europe for the ecological transition and the new models of circular and regenerative economy, taking place this year from 26 to 29 October 2021, back in presence and with the digital extension.

LiCoBAT, one of the ERA-MIN 2 Joint Transnational Call 2018 funded projects, has participated on the October 28th Conference session with the objective of disseminating the project results and activities and raise the technical discussion on the main objectives of the project, which are: i) demonstrate the industrial feasibility of recovering lithium and cobalt from discarded lithium-ion batteries and ii) technically face the main challenge for this feasibility, which is the optimization of the reverse logistics of these batteries.

A brief presentation of the ERA-MIN program, in virtual format was also presented at the event, focusing on the program's objectives and discussing the reasons why the LiCoBat project contributes to achieving these ERA-MIN 2 objectives related to strengthen the shift to a circular economy .
