ERA-MIN continue preparing the new Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda

03/07/2023

Ten years have passed since the ERA-MIN Strategic Research Agenda (SRIA) was published. The landscape has changed considerably since then, and experience from the ERA-MIN programme has brought new insights towards updating the innovation system.

All the actors in the raw materials chain, from partners of ERA-MIN to scientific experts and stakeholders, will participate in this new document that will build the road for R&I in Raw Materials the forthcoming years.

The aims for the new Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) within the field of non-energy, non-food raw materials, are two:

  • Identifying critical technological and structural challenges within the EU relating to raw material supply for the green and digital transition.
  • Addressing needs for research and innovation to tackle the challenges, as well as prioritizing among strategically important core targets.

The SRIA document will be used as baseline for the for the forthcoming EU co-funded Partnership in the raw materials field.

Following the1st Workshop that took place online last 28th of June, where ERA-MIN partners discussed the thematic approach for the SRIA, we are pleased to announce 3 public workshops in which we invite all interested parties to take part:

  • 29th August as part of RawMat2023 – Athens, Greece.
  • 20th September  - online
  • 14th November as part of EU Raw Materials Week - Brussels, Belgium
