This high-level annual gathering will serve as a platform for strategic dialogue between the non-ferrous metals industry, EU policymakers, trade unions, and NGOs. The conference will explore how the upcoming Clean Industrial Deal can help build a more competitive, sustainable, and resilient European metals sector.

The event will open with a keynote address by Evangelos Mytilineos, President of Eurometaux, followed by three high-level panel debates. These sessions will explore:

• The effectiveness of measures proposed in the Clean Industrial Deal and Affordable Energy Action Plan to support industrial competitiveness and decarbonisation
• How to create a functioning single market for metals-containing waste through circular economy legislation
• The challenge of aligning the Zero Pollution Action Plan with industrial competitiveness

The event will conclude with closing remarks from Kurt Vandenberghe, Director General of DG CLIMA, European Commission, and James Watson, Director General of Eurometaux.
